Today is the start of the second round! I will have a little write-up for every matchup in the previous round and then the poll for the second round will be below. Is your favorite animated character in it? Will it advance again? It’s up to you to vote!
Animated Characters Results
1. Bugs Bunny vs 16. Fred Flintstone
In the battle of the classic cartoons, chalk holds right away as Bugs Bunny easily takes care of Fred Flintstone 17 votes to 3.
8. Snoopy vs 9. Goofy
The dogs let loose in the fight between Snoopy and Goofy, and ultimately we realized that Snoopy is called Joe Cool for a reason, beating out Goofy 15-5.
5. Tom Cat vs 12. Wile E. Coyote
Which famous hunter was cooler? Was it everyone’s favorite cat, Tom? Or was it the pesky threat to the roadrunner, Wile E. Coyote? Ultimately Tom Cat won out 12-8.
4. Spongebob vs 13. Charlie Brown
Upset Alert! The 13-seeded Charlie Brown beats out Nickelodeon’s most famous character 14 votes to 6.
6. Jerry Mouse vs 11. Shaggy
The upsets aren’t over just yet, as Shaggy uses a small percentage of his power to do what Tom never did, catch Jerry. Shaggy moves on with a whopping 18 votes to 2.
3. Scooby-Doo vs 14. Shrek
Somebody once told me that Shrek did not scare Scooby. And he ran back to his swamp with no pride. It turns out he was not cool according to the students. Scooby moves on 13 votes to 7.
7. Daffy Duck vs 10. Donald Duck
In the quack attack, Donald Duck takes care of business, easily beating Daffy Duck 13-7.
2. Mickey Mouse vs 15. Woody
One of Disney’s oldest characters went up against one of Pixar’s oldest characters, and Mickey Mouse narrowly avoided the upset winning 11 votes to 9.
