What are you doing next Wednesday, the 27th ,
at 7:00 p.m.? Hopefully you will be at the Sacred Concert to hear the amazing
voices of our Freshman and A Cappella Choirs and also hear the band’s great
talents.
Every year MVL holds
a concert called the Sacred Concert, which is held for the Lenten (and Easter)
season. Every year this concert has a different theme. This year, Mr. Zeisemer
picked the theme Unending Love, which is also the name of one of the pieces the
MVL choir will be singing. The A Cappella Choir will also be singing their
contest piece, Arise My Soul, Arise.
Mr. Jasperson and Art Club, by using the theme as a guide, made a painting
based on the Japanese traditional depiction of water for the art piece that will
be displayed at the concert.
Every year this
concert has moved people and it allows the spreading of the Gospel that Jesus
Christ our Savior died for us to wash away all our sins. The band and choirs
hope to see you there!
