On Friday May 5th, senior Ben J. biked 17 miles to school from his home in the country between Nicollet and Gaylord. He found a bike in his shed the night before, pumped up the tires, and hid his backpack at school. Ben left his house at 6:15 arriving to school at 7:40, just in time to attend the end of the Cinco de Mayo party. The most difficult part of his journey was the beginning as he found that it was difficult to wake up. He had a few hellos from various dogs and farmers while taking back roads to MVL.
Ben's bike in his usual spot
He claims to have not wiped out. Even though his vehicle was small, he still parked in his own space. Round trip, Ben managed to bike about 34 miles.
