Iconic Cars of MVL


Everybody has an emotional attachment to their car. After all, you spend a lot of time driving in it. However, there are some iconic cars at MVL that we would like to put on a pedestal. So we have picked out some of the most iconic cars of MVL that we can think of and asked their owners to tell us about them so you have something to read during study hall. After previewing all of the responses we invite you to vote on whose car you think deserves a more in-depth tour.

Do you have any nickname for your car? Is there a story behind the name?

RR: The Olds
LS: No
MM: Nope
MR: No
EK: Party Van
SB: Silver Bullet
TF: Expensive, vehicles cost a lot of money. Also big black, cause well… it’s large and black.

How did you acquire the vehicle?

RR: I had friends give it to me for almost free.
LS: Bought it
MM: Bought it
MR: My parents
EK: Stole it
SB: Craigslist on March 1st
TF: I bought it from Kohl’s Weelborg Chevrolet in New Ulm.

Are there any key modifications that you have made?

RR: No :(
LS: Overhauled the motor
MM: New radio, two 12 inch sub woofers with a 1000 Vamp. I also Blew out every speaker and replaced them.
MR: A Christmas tree
EK: Took out the back seats
SB: New battery, break line, transmission, and a trash can in the back.
TF: Cool air intake, exhaust leaders, new exhaust pipes, Rough Country leveling kit, Dynapro tires, G.E.A.R. rims (summer), American Racing rims (winter), interior lights (by your feet), subs and different headlights/taillights coming soon.

What are the craziest stories surrounding this vehicle?

RR: It was totaled by hitting a deer twice. My brother did it the first time and kept driving home with deer poop all over the car. Oh and the sunroof…(if you know you know.)
LS: Driving around with friends coon hunting one night and we hit a ditch and almost rolled it.
MM: Ha Ha! no comment
MR: I ran into Owen’s garage and got stuck in a ditch before a basketball game.
EK: I got chased around for one hour after Jaden Domeier threw some boom booms.
SB: Exploring the swamp at Senior Farewell last year. And getting pulled over because of Nyaw for “looking suspicious”.
TF: A friend and I were on our way home from Mankato and I was starting to freak out because there was a car following very close behind me. I kept speeding up to try to lose them, and when I got to 88 the lights turned on.

What is the fastest speed you have gone in your car?
MVL Desktop does not condone breaking any laws.

RR: 120 mph
LS: 110 mph driving home and giving it some horses. (I mean 60mph)
MM:12 mph
MR: None of your business.
EK: Nothing over 60
SB: 105 mph
TF: 109 mph, I like to go fast on backroads a couple times a week.

Have you ever gotten a ticket or gotten out of one?

RR: Nope
LS: NO-NO-NO-NO-NO
MM: No, but multiple warnings for speeding.
MR: Nope
EK: I got pulled over for having a frosted windshield and ended up getting my van searched and back up called after they saw my airsoft gun. When they realized I had no more weapons they let me go.
SB: I got out of one while going through Morgan at 60 mph in a 35 mph, I escaped with my great charm.
TF: I got a ticket after my “craziest story,” two hundred and thirty-some dollars, but hey, the policeman was surprisingly nice about it.
