It’s the final region of round 2, the video games! We have some great battles in stock, but first here’s a quick recap of round 1.
1. Tetris vs 16. The Oregon Trail
It was the battle of the classics with one of the oldest PC games, The Oregon Trail, facing off against the game that everyone had on their Gameboy, Tetris. Ultimately, the high seed moves on. Tetris wins 17-10.
8. Wii Sports vs 9. Kirby
The nostalgia of every 2000’s-2010’s kid was strong here as Wii Sports wins by a mile against Kirby 23-4.
5. The Legend Of Zelda vs 12. Sonic the Hedgehog
Two of the closest matchups came in this region. The first of which was this battle between The Legend of Zelda and Sonic the Hedgehog. In the end, Sonic sped ahead by one vote winning 14-13
4. Pac-Man vs 13. The Sims
A video game classic, Pac-Man doubled the score of their competitor, the classic life simulation game, The Sims. Pac-Man wins 18-9.
6. Halo vs 11. Rocket League
This was the other match decided by one vote. At the very end, Halo pulled ahead of Rocket League and won by a score of 14 votes to 13.
3. Minecraft vs 14. Animal Crossing
Two very famous time-wasters duked it out, and we were given the biggest blowout of the entire bracket. Out of 27 votes cast, Minecraft got a whopping 26, defeating Animal Crossing who only got one vote.
7. Pokemon vs 10. Madden
The second-most popular Nintendo franchise faced off against EA’s most popular sports franchise, Madden. Pokemon ended up winning this one 18-9.
2. Super Mario Bros. vs 15. Guitar Hero
Mario enters the battle arena and music starts. He hears “Through the Fire and Flames” by Dragonforce. Unintimidated, Mario pulls out his super star he had in his pocket and comes out no problem. Super Mario Bros. moves on 17-10.
