It’s that time of year. It’s time to elect the next student body president. There are two candidates this year. I asked them a few questions prior to the election.
Why did you decide to run for student body president?
I’ve known I’ve wanted to run for a long time. Student Council is something I truly love. I want to bring the student body closer together and have lots of fun activities.
What does the student body president actually do?
You lead stud co meetings, talk to Pastors before chapel, and lots of other fun things!
If you are elected, what are you looking forward to the most?
It’d be really cool to get to represent the student body just in general and to talk to the freshmen on freshman first day. Really though, I’m looking forward to all of it.
What has been one of your favorite High School memories?
This is a tough question. I really liked being a grandma in the spring play last year. I got to wear some pretty stylish pant suits.
Do you have any plans/ideas for next year if you become president?
For sure! One thing I really want to do is make sure we have a game/movie night. I also have some ideas on how to make deciding dress up days better, because sometimes not everyone likes the dress up days- so I definitely want to improve on that.
Why did you decide to run for student body president?
Peer pressure mostly. I was planning on running some point in high school because student council is very important to me.
What does the student body president actually do?
The president leads and enforces all of the dances, volleyball tourney, dodgeball, Charger for a day, and so much more.
If you are elected, what are you looking forward to the most?
Helping in putting peoples ideas to life and helping them create great memories.
What has been one of your favorite High School memories?
The dances, especially Homecoming this year!
Do you have any plans/ideas for next year if you become president?
My main goal is to hear others ideas. I want to be the voice for the MVL student body.
