Hey there folks, it's just about time for Homecoming and this post is to kick it into full swing! This years theme is MVL's Got You Beat. The theme is focused around songs. The dress up days for this year are:
Monday: "Space Jam" or Sports Day
Rep your favorite team, athlete, or sport.Tuesday: "Thriller" or Costume Day
Show off your favorite costume (keep it appropriate).Wednesday: "Party in the USA" or America Day
Wear the Ol' Red, White, and Blue with pride. #MERICAThursday: "Fancy" or Preppy Day
Dress like you're ready to hit the course or courts at the country clubFriday: "Our House" or MVL Spirit Day
Support MVL and wear your best Spirit outfit while we Defend Our House.Remember to follow the dress code and keep all outfits appropriate.
This year's Homecoming is also a Battle of the Classes for the new "MVL Spirit Bolt".
Points will be given out to classes for dressing up, winning lunch activities and Powderpuff. Check the poster in the lunchroom for updates. The winning class will be awarded the MVL Spirit Bolt during the Lyceum on Friday.
Powderpuff will be taking place once again at North Park in New Ulm. We will be using Field One. Show up to play, have fun, and eat Snow-Cones! All festivities start at 7:00 Wednesday night!
Finally, after the Football team takes on TMB at Johnson Field, come on out to MVL for the Homecoming Dance. No need to dress fancy, our Homecoming is casual. Admission is $5. The dance will end at 11:45 pm where we will head outside and the King and Queen will burn the Homecoming Lightning Bolt.
