Go Big or Go Home(coming)!

Homecoming gives all students a week to show their superior school spirit. With each day being a different theme, every class has a challenge to beat the other classes. Homecoming brings special events such as school-wide dodgeball, lunch activities, a home football game, and a groovy dance for all those Dancing With the Stars fans out there. Don’t forget to attend the football game on Friday night, the homecoming king and queen will be crowned at halftime!

The dodgeball tournament took place Wednesday night in place of Powderpuff no thanks to the rain. The teams were divided by grade with both guys and girls having the chance to play. The Sophomore class came out victorious winning the tournament.

Everyday during lunch, one student from each grade is asked to participate in a lunch activity that the Student Council came up with. Every activity is completely different and it is always a joy to watch everyone go head to head in these silly activities.

The Homecoming football game always seems to have an ecstatic energy, much different than any other football game. Current and past MVL students join together to cheer on the Chargers and reconnect with each other. During halftime the Homecoming king and queen from the previous year come back to crown the new king and queen. Following the football game, the Homecoming dance takes place right after back at school, lasting until 12am.
