Friday October 4th the MVL Chargers had their football Homecoming game with lots of familiar faces returning. Some members of the 1994 football team who made the State Tournament also made an appearance for Homecoming.
The Chargers kept the game competitive in the first half trailing 22-7 at halftime. During halftime, last year's Homecoming King and Queen, Jake Kettner and Lauren Paulsen, arrived to crown the new King and Queen. Willie Sanders and Lexi Fosburgh were crowned the 2019 Homecoming King and Queen.
After halftime, the Chargers continued to fight throughout the second half, but did not have enough to beat TMB and fell 44-21 in the end. Homecoming week ended with the school dance after the game, which was followed by the burning of the Charger Bolt.
