MVL students of all ages entered paintings, drawings, prints, pottery, and sculpture in the biannual Lutheran High School Invitational Art Exhibit at Bethany Lutheran College. Other Lutheran high schools also participate in this juried exhibit. The show runs from Feb. 21 to March 7 in the SC Ylvisaker gallery on the campus of Bethany Lutheran College (700 Luther Drive, Mankato, MN).
This is a great opportunity to see a collection of work by aspiring young Lutheran creatives! As you can see in the photo the MVL Art Club's Easter concert artwork from last year is prominently displayed. From Fundamentals of Art all the way to AP Studio Art, MVL students represent themselves, the MVL family, and their Lord well in this exhibit.
Awards will be announced at a reception on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 2:00 pm. Prizes include "Best of Show" $100, 2nd place $50, 3rd place $25, and several special merit prizes. Participating students are invited for a free lunch at Bethany at 1:00 pm. Contact Mr. Jaspersen if you are interested in attending the lunch.
