Last Monday, a group of MVL students braved the cold and the rain to do something truly unexpected; cheer at a soccer game. While it is true that MVL students often attend soccer games and provide support, this was the first time in recent memory MVL’s student section was large enough, and loud enough, to have their voices heard.
It was easy for students to cheer while watching the Eagles start their playoff season with a strong 6-0 win, and both the guys and girls soccer teams have high hopes for this year’s postseason. The guys play their next game this Thursday, the 11th, at Southwest Minnesota Christian High School at 4:30 pm.
Because of their high standing, the girls received a by for the first round of playoffs. Their first game will be held this Saturday, the 13th, at New Ulm Public’s field at noon.
Make sure to come and show your support for our girls and boys in Purple!
